NovaLCT-Pluto LED Sign Brightness Adjustment tutorial

This tutorial is talk about the Novastar LED Sign Brightness Setup manually, auto-matically, and by schedule with NovaLCT-Pluto. As we know, we always need our LED Sign brightness adjust accord to the ambient luminance. It will prevent light polution and also be energy-saving .

How can we achieve this target with the default function of Novastar Asynchronous Cards and its software? Just follow these Practical steps and you will find its quite easy to enable your LED Sign be brightness automatically adjustment.

So Lets get started with these steps:

1. Loginas Advanced User

 

 

2. Press【Brightness 】Icon

 

3. Choose brightness Adjustment Mode: Manual, Schedule,or Auto”

 

4.1. Manual brightness adjustment

 

4.1.1 Display Quality
There are two modes for display quality, Soft Mode and Enhanced Mode. Use soft mode for the situation that the environment brightness is not very high, usually for indoor display. Enhanced mode is better when the background is very bright, usually for outdoor display.

Gamma Adjustment
Gray scale level starts earlier in Mode A than Mode B.

Gain
For drive IC with current gain function, adjusting gain will increase drive IC’s current output.

RGB brightness
Adjust R/G/B brightness respectively.

 

4.2. Schedule brightness adjustment

 

Start time
Define specific brightness, Gama effective time.

Brightness
Define screen brightness

Gama
There are two options, Fixed Value or Custom


4.3. Auto brightness adjustment

4.3.1 Select Auto, press【 Config button】

4.3.2 Add light sensor

Press the "pluss" button to search and add Light Sensor, there have two options for light sensor connection:

One is connected with sending card or controller,another is connected with function card.

a. Connect light sensor with controller PSD100.

b. Connect light sensor with multifunction card, it’s necessary to select the port that connect with the light sensor.There are fout ports on the function card, numbered from 1 to 4. Any of the four ports can be used to connect the light sensor or temperature sensor to the function card. Select a port to connect the light sensor to the function card .

 

 

Connect the light sensor to the function card by port 1. After External Device1 is set to Light Sensor, the environment brightness read from the sensor is 20 Lux.

4.3.3 Set environment brightness and screen brightness according to installation application.

 

After successfully add Light Sensor, press the "Search" button to read environment brightness:

Note:
Obtain maximum environment brightness: At the time when the environment brightness is largest (for example, at noon), read value from the light sensor and enter the value.

Obtain minimum environment brightness: At the time when the environment brightness is smallest (for example, at night), read value from the light sensor and enter the value.
