NovaLCT-Pluto LED Sign Configuration Tutorial

This tutorial is going to teach you how to configure a LED Display Screen or LED Sign controlled by NovaLCT-Pluto, which means the LED Sign is controlled by the Novastar Asynchronous Controller PSD100/PBOX100/PBOX150.

You will learn from this tutorial about:

1.Configure new receiving cards and select the screen controlled by the built-in receiving cards on the asynchronous card, or by external receiving cards.
2. Configure the connection diagram information of screens.

 

So let's get started:

Step 1 : Connect the asynchronous controller and log in the NovaLCT-Pluto (password “admin”). Click【Screen Config】 Select【No scan board cascaded】mode or【Cascading scan board】mode.

Notes: 【No scan board cascaded】mode means the screen is driven by the built-in receiving card on the asynchronous card only.【Cascading scan board】mode means the screen is driven by the built-in receiving card on the asynchronous card and extra receiving cards. All the extra receiving cards are cascaded.

 

Step 2: Set parameters for the receiving card.Taking【Cascading scan board】mode as an example, click【Next】to enter the scan board interface.

 

a. Import the parameters from the file

On 【 Scan Board 】 page , click 【 Load File 】, and select the configuration file on the pop-up dialog. The scan board page will display the imported parameters.

Note: Normally, the configuration files (.rcfg) are provided by the screen manufacturers.

 

b. Select the receiving card
On【Scan board】page,click【Send To HW】.

 

Select【All Scan Board】on the pop-up dialog.

 

c. Click【Send】to change the parameters of the scan board.

Step 3. Configure the screen

On【Screen Config】page,Click【Config】to configure the screen size and how the receiving cards are connected with each other. Click【Send To HW】when finished.

Notes: 1.【Sender Mode】means the screen isn’t driven by the built-in receiving card on the asynchronous card.

2.【Deputy Channel】means changing the asynchronous system and synchronization system freely when these two systems both are connected to a screen. For example, the screen will display the content from synchronization system when asynchronous system is disconnected; it will display the content from asynchronous system when synchronization system is disconnected. If both of the two systems are connected, the screen will display the content from the system which is connected earlier.

3:On【Screen Config】page, the way of receiving cards connected with each other must be consistent to the actual connection of receiving cards on the screen( from the front view).

 

Step 4: Save the configuration information.
Click【Save】to ensure that the parameters and configure information will be saved in the asynchronous card and won’t be lost even after power off.

The configuration of screen has been completed, now the screen is ready to work. Next, you can publish display content, the operation can be found in the “ Producing & publishing the display content by asynchronous card---NovaLCT-Pluto”.
